Coronavirus Update

This is the first face-to-face meeting of the Council since changes in legislation no longer enabling remote meetings. Councillors and the public are asked to please wear face coverings unless exempt and will be asked to maintain social distance throughout the meeting. The Village Hall uses NHS Track & Trace.

Members of the Public: The maximum legal limit is six members of the public/guest speakers. The public are respectfully asked to contact and inform the Clerk of their intent to attend at least six hours prior to the meeting, so the Council can ensure that legal limits are not exceeded.

  3. Approve the Minutes* of the meeting of 6th May 2021: The minutes, subject to any amendments, to be approved and signed as a true record of the meeting.
  4. Update on COVID-19: To receive any updates relating to the pandemic
  5. Reports from District & County Councillors.
  6. Outstanding Actions: To clarify and report on actions brought forward from the last meeting.
  7. Recreation Ground Matters: To discuss any matters concerning the Recreation Ground.
  • To review Horsham District Council and/or the Annual Wicksteed Playground Inspection results and update on any remedial work
  • Update on the payment of rent by West Sussex County Council for the Primary School for 2021/22

  1. No Incinerator for Horsham: To discuss and decide whether to make comments of the No Incinerator for Horsham Response to the Environment Agency

 

  1. Proposed solar farm at Huddlestone Farm, Steyning: To discuss correspondence received regarding a proposed solar farm and what action, if any, to take.

 

  1. Financial Matters:
  • To receive a report on the Council’s income and to approve future expenditure.

 

  1. Parish Council Insurance: To receive an update on the new insurance policy with BHIB.

 

  1. Broadband in Ashurst: to receive an update from Cllrs Knight and Nicholson
