Further to the Coronavirus Act 2020, this meeting was held remotely via Zoom. Members of the public were given the opportunity to email or telephone the Clerk in advance with any questions or statements and were invited to ask for a link to observe the meeting remotely.

  1. Planning Matters: To comment on planning applications received from Horsham District Council.

DC/20/1273: Conversion and extension of existing barns to form 1x two storey dwelling and 1x single storey dwelling. Wellens Farm Steyning Road Ashurst West Sussex.

The Clerk was asked to submit the following comments:

Stance: Neutral

Comments: The Council is neutral but wishes to support new housing of the right size, provided that it doesn’t get too large in the future.

 

DC/20/1834: Erection of boathouse/fishing lodge building. Peppers Farm Peppers Lane Ashurst Steyning

The Clerk was asked to submit the following comments:

Stance: Neutral

Comments: The Council is neutral provided that the building maintains its proposed use and remains sympathetic to its surroundings.
